Job Description

Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for Data Center. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. The job family spans across multiple engineering disciplines. Work consists of designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions for research and/or research development of product, services, and solutions for HPE’s portfolio. Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools.

Job Responsibility

  • Produce Technical Decision Maker presentations about our Data Center products and solutions and maintain them up to date
  • Produce Competitive Analysis collaterals that highlight our strengths and areas of improvements
  • Design relevant demos of our Data Center products and solutions in close collaboration
  • Present the most relevant TME projects in the regular webinars targeted at the field engineers
  • Design and implement compelling Proof of Concept lab setups, run them, and collect and document the results for the field consumption
  • Keep well informed and educated about industry and competitors’ evolutions and trends, and report back to PLM, TME, and Engineering teams
  • Keep your technical skills sharp by committing time to trainings and certifications
  • Keep yourself well educated about the company’s vision, strategy, and execution plans
  • Embrace the company’s culture and vocabulary
  • Actively contribute to New Product Introductions
  • Actively contribute to deciding our products roadmap in close collaboration with PLM peers
  • Deliver technical trainings and TOIs for field engineers, partners, and customers
  • Participate in industry events and industry tests and certifications
  • Participate in RFP/RFI responses and defenses, contribute to boilerplates for responses
  • Build and expand relationships with key customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Typically 6-10 years experience
  • Expertise level in EVPN-VXLAN Data Center Technology
  • Expertise in control plane and data plane features and protocols of traditional and AI data centers
  • Expert level knowledge of switching and routing protocols in use in data center fabric designs
  • Excellent hands-on skills
  • Good scripting skills
  • Readiness for expert level of industry certifications like JNCIE or CCIE is a plus
  • Proven record of writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery in English
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels

Nice to have

Readiness for expert level of industry certifications like JNCIE or CCIE is a plus
