Job Description:

This is a pivotal appointment, reporting directly to the Site Director, and offers the opportunity to shape and lead the technical strategy of a well-established, high-performing site. This role is ideal for a proven technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, audit-driven environment and is passionate about driving standards, quality, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in influencing site performance, culture, and compliance standards as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and drive the site's technical strategy in alignment with business objectives
  • Lead, manage and develop the quality and technical teams
  • Drive and embed quality standards across the entire site
  • Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times
  • Manage and deliver the internal audit schedule
  • Lead all external audits and customer visits
  • Ensure full compliance with UK legislation and customer requirements
  • Maintain and develop strong customer and client relationships
  • Provide visible, hands-on technical leadership
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Technical / Technical Manager role
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of HACCP and BRC standards
  • Previous experience working with retailer standards (essential)
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience managing audits and customer visits with confidence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement
