Currently, we are seeking a talented Senior Technical Manager in our Chicago, Illinois studio.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with PICs, project managers, and design teams to guide technical design approach, documentation standards, QA/QC processes, and interdisciplinary coordination throughout all project phases
Develop and communicate technical solutions addressing complex project opportunities / challenges in drawings, specifications, procurement, budgets and value management, resulting in well-executed built work with attention to craft and detail
Collaborate with firm leaders to advance the constant pursuit of design excellence based on our firm’s mission and values
Develop craft-focused tools and processes to ensure quality and accuracy in construction documentation and construction administration
Produce outstanding client-based deliverables and solutions for each project with an emphasis on technical and construction aspects of landscape architecture
Provide proactive and consistent management of staff performance to ensure adherence to budget and quality standards
Empower and mentor individuals to serve our clients in a professional, productive, and collaborative manner and to ensure deadlines are met
Take initiative for involvement in internal firmwide activities and committees
Support project administration by developing delivery-focused workplans, monitoring scope, and schedules
Lead construction administration oversight and management on a wide range of project typologies and scales
Advance firmwide technical performance by evaluating lessons learned to continuously improve delivery outcomes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture required
10-15 years of professional experience
Landscape Architectural Licensure
Required proficiency in Microsoft office, AutoCAD, CSI Specifications
