Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Developer to join our team and play a key role in the development of museum exhibits, from initial prototype to final product. This role combines strong technical expertise with creativity, documentation excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop museum exhibits from concept and prototype through to final production
  • Create detailed project documentation, including: Technical specifications, Technical drawings, Manufacturing instructions, Assembly instructions, Construction preparation guidelines
  • Maintain, review, and update technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Approve technical documentation and manage changes and revisions
  • Contribute creative ideas and technical solutions for new exhibits based on project goals and briefs
  • Collaborate closely with designers on the development of new exhibits and the improvement of existing ones
  • Mentor and support team members with lower seniority

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in product development or a similar technical role
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Wood Technology
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Fusion, Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation
  • Knowledge of structural strength calculations
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working with wood-based panel materials
  • CAM experience, including CNC milling machines
  • Calculation and design of welded structures
  • Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
  • Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis
