The purpose of this role is to work in an agile way with project stakeholders to analyse and synthesise information. Your skills in understanding and analysing the business & technical problems, ability to help create/define and refine them in the form of technical or system requirements will be used to increase the quality and efficiency of solutions being built by the squad. Through your good understanding of underlying technology that supports the business outcomes and working as a team player, you would play a key role in ensuring optimum end-to-end customer experience. Over a short period of time, you would build your expertise and work as ‘A person to go to’ for existing and new features analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Requirements gathering, detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions using provided tools, Jira, Confluence, creating the necessary work items (Epics and User Stories), whilst having conversations with relevant business stakeholders, product owners and support to enable end to end deliverables
Provide walkthroughs of stories to the squad
Responsible for the implementation of the solution and support
BVT documentation and execution
Support the squad where it might be needed, this could extend slightly outside your skillset if applicable
Requirements:
Overall experience of 12+ years with proven expertise in supporting business and technical teams, in eliciting, analysing, communicate and validate business and technical requirements for changes to business processes, policies and products and information systems
Relevant experience and exposure to Payments Management for 8+ years
Proven experience working as business/system or technical analyst by translating business requirements into meaningful solutions by understanding needs, feasibility, and impact
Strong elicitation/requirements gathering, estimation, facilitation, and impact assessment skills – with equal focus on business process and technology impacts
Ability to understand/analyse the customer journey and process mapping for existing and new features in the solutions owned by the squad
Strong articulation skills and able to break down requirements by elaborating one-line problem statements into Features, Epics, User Stories, Tasks etc
Understanding of Atlassian & Microsoft Office and Collaboration tools – Jira, Confluence, MS Team, MS Office Suite, Whiteboard etc
Experience with API, payments applications and flow, example: Payments Application, Message Queue, Real-Time and High throughput systems
Knowledge on Institutional/International & Domestic payments/Clearing and Settlement streams
Strong communication and documentation
Excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills
Strong risk management capabilities
Self-starting, self-motivating and inquisitive nature
Nice to have:
Exposure to variety of payment systems, solutions and environments or other technical payments solutions would be hugely advantageous
A proven history of understanding business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend both technical and business solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its product/solution or outcomes
Strong agile fundamentals and experience working in a hybrid agile/scaled agile delivery environment
Experience in understanding technology system modelling, system design, application performance needs and technology infrastructure
Experience tracking deliveries through to implementation against program roadmaps
Skills in software delivery with a continuous improvement mindset
Clear and succinct communication style with strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid presentation skill with the ability to take a lead in workshops and drive meaningful outcomes
Strong team leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Be a self-motivated, proactive as well as an active collaborator
