We are looking for a Senior Broker to manage the placement of Commercial and Mid-Corporate risks, supporting their nationwide broker panel. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance professional with strong trading and placement skills who thrives on delivering tailored solutions for clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing the placement of new business and renewals across Property and Casualty (with some Motor Trade and Fleet exposure)
  • Supporting their panel with placement strategy, renewal planning, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Negotiating complex policies, enhancing coverage and securing competitive terms
  • Reviewing new business pipelines and upcoming renewals to provide technical insight and market support
  • Attending client meetings and offering expertise in market presentations and submissions

Requirements

  • Experienced Senior Broker or Senior Technical Account Handler with strong trading experience from a major insurer or broker
  • Deep understanding of the UK commercial insurance market, typically handling risks with premiums of £50,000+
  • Proven ability to handle complex commercial cases (beyond SME/portal placements)
  • Confident in analysing underwriting information and producing market submissions and presentations
  • Dip CII qualified (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience placing business in the London Market is a plus
  • Analytical, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Experience dealing with mid to high premium commercial insurance cases
  • Proven track record of successful commercial insurance broking
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver against targets
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of client needs across relevant sectors
  • Professional, organised and customer-focused approach
  • Commitment to compliance and delivering good customer outcomes
