We’re looking for a motivated individual with solid experience in the HVAC industry and a basic understanding of building practices to join our Kingspan Technical Insulation team in Basildon, Essex. You’ll bring excellent customer service skills and a high level of attention to detail, ensuring every task is completed to the highest standard for all customers. As the Senior Technical Advisor you will be responsible for providing technical advice to customers, as well as to both internal and external Kingspan employees, working 39 hours per week Monday – Friday.
Job Responsibility:
Responds to all requests for technical advice received, via various media (telephone/ email)
Ensures best practice advice is given at all times, in line with industry and company guidelines
Produce heat transfer and associated calculations, for pipework and ductwork insulation according to industry standards
Review product literature updates from the Marketing department
Attend industry events for Kingspan such as Working Group / trade shows / conferences
On occasions, attend customer meetings with Area Sales Managers / Business Development Managers
Is aware of, and pays attention to, Key Performance Indicators
Contribute to the development of technical solutions by sharing information and reporting issues to the Line Manager
Play a significant role in product testing, certifications and reviewing product literature
Requirements:
Experience in the HVAC industry
Construction discipline, with a basic understanding of building practices
Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to set and adhere to customer service goals
IT proficient, with a technical bias
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent time management skills, being highly efficient and well organised
High attention to detail at all times
Demonstrates the ability to interpret and apply mathematical formulas relevant to HVAC industry calculations
Nice to have:
Hold a degree in physics, mechanical engineer, maths, engineering, or a similar subject
