Our partner, which is the Hungarian subsidiary of a large international company, is looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to join their team!

Job Responsibility

  • Managing various technical accounting areas (for example: revenue, leases, business stock-based compensation, provisions, FX)
  • Writing and updating accounting working instruction and standard operation procedures documents
  • Managing quarterly and annual reporting duties
  • Closing activities, reconciliations
  • Writing regular financial and management reports (including consolidated reports)
  • Keeping active contact with auditors and supporting audit projects
  • Leading process improvement and system implementation projects
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions projects
  • Supporting other internal departments such as controlling or FP&A in accounting related matters

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related fields
  • Fluent English
  • At least 6+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit (preferably in corporate or Big 4 environment)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Blackline etc.)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards strongly preferred (US GAAP, IFRS)
  • Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions projects is beneficial
  • Structured thinking, precise and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Motivated, can do attitude
  • Strong communication skills

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions projects is beneficial
