Job Description:

A highly regarded accountancy practice in Exeter is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager with a strong specialism in landed estates and rural taxation to take a senior role within its specialist private client tax team. This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional with experience advising landed estates, rural businesses, trusts and high-net-worth individuals. The role combines technical tax expertise, advisory work and senior client relationship management, with genuine scope to influence service delivery and mentor others within a well-established rural tax offering.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing and reviewing tax compliance for landed estates, trusts and rural businesses
  • Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax planning
  • Supporting succession planning, estate structuring and long-term tax strategy
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to landowners, trustees and high-net-worth individuals
  • Working closely with Partners on complex advisory matters
  • Providing technical guidance and oversight to Managers and junior team members
  • Contributing to the development and growth of the landed estates service line
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and technical standards

Requirements:

  • CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Significant experience advising on landed estates, trusts or rural businesses
  • Strong technical knowledge across IHT, CGT and income tax
  • Confident managing complex client relationships
  • Enjoy advisory-led, long-term planning work
  • Commercially aware and comfortable operating at senior level
  • Motivated to play a leadership role within a specialist tax team
