Job Responsibility
For selected European countries and particular projects as applicable, advise and support the implementation in Tax Planning & Effective Tax Rate, ETR, management
Identify, plan and execute agreed international and European multi-country tax projects
Provide tax planning, consulting and compliance expertise to the business, including advising management regarding the tax impact of new laws, regulations and EU/local tax developments
Perform tax review and approval for specific business projects, including cross-border contracts, restructurings and operating model changes affecting selected European countries
Contribute to and influence the development of the Company's financial policies, instruments and procedures from an expert tax standpoint, taking account of European legal entity, VAT and transfer pricing considerations
Support ETR management and tax risk assessment across the European portfolio, including analysis of local implementation of international tax initiatives where relevant
Support the calculation of tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in global and local/statutory accounts for selected European countries
Collaborate with other SITA departments to ensure accurate, complete and timely data for tax returns, statutory accounts and group reporting
Prepare and review reconciliations of tax ledgers, tax GL accounts, revenue and VAT balances
Support the accounting team with analysis, tax depreciation/capital allowance workings and country-specific tax adjustments
Coordinate inputs for local corporate tax, deferred tax and Pillar Two reporting as applicable in collaboration with Group Tax and Finance
Be responsible for tax compliance oversight, tax planning, accounting for income taxes and preparation/review of applicable tax returns for selected European countries in compliance with local tax rules
Drive direct tax, indirect tax/VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing compliance in consultation with external tax advisers and in coordination with Group Tax, including reporting and documentation requirements
Manage and drive tax audits, enquiries and certifications to closure within defined timelines
Consolidate information for internal and external audits, requests from tax authorities and statutory reporting, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all such information
Coordinate, control and follow up on VAT refunds, tax payments and tax authority correspondence
Monitor relevant EU and local tax developments, for example VAT, mandatory disclosure and other reporting obligations, and translate them into practical actions for the business
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, Specialist qualification in Law, Economics or Accounting
and/or tax
+8 years work experience in an accounting/VAT environment preferably within a medium to large international company with a matrix business structure
Proficiency in spoken and written English, other languages French, are beneficial
Strong analytical capabilities
Demonstrate the ability to use sound judgement discretion and professional integrity
Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships within the organization and with outside stakeholders
Team player and committed towards work

Pro-active mindset
Demonstrate PC proficiency (MS Office

Power Point and strong in Excel skills
Working knowledge of Oracle/ OBIEE (or equivalent financial systems) is highly desirable
Good knowledge of principals of Direct and Indirect Taxation
