We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support indirect tax matters for a large, multi-entity organization operating across multiple U.S. jurisdictions. This role focuses on sales and use tax, nexus analysis, and state-level compliance, with exposure to complex systems and large data environments.
Job Responsibility:
Support multi-state sales and use tax analysis and compliance
Perform nexus reviews and evaluate registration and filing requirements across jurisdictions
Assist with business registrations and licensing considerations
Research indirect tax issues, including taxability, sourcing, and exemptions
Respond to state and local tax notices, audits, and information requests
Work with large datasets to support indirect tax reporting and analysis
Partner cross-functionally with accounting, legal, and operations teams
Support indirect tax implications related to acquisitions, expansions, and entity changes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of relevant tax experience
Strong background in state and local tax (SALT), including sales and use tax
Experience in multi-state and multi-entity environments
Experience with indirect tax engines such as Vertex (or similar)
Comfortable working across systems and translating data into tax conclusions
Advanced use of Excel for analysis and workpapers
Nice to have:
Power BI experience is a plus, but not required
CPA Preferred
Exposure to large ERP system (e.g. SAP, Netsuite)
Ability to work with data housed in platforms such as snowflake
