Senior Tax Accountant

• Oversee and monitor income tax payments, including quarterly estimates, extensions, and annual tax returns for partnership funds
• Maintain and coordinate the tax compliance calendar, ensuring alignment with external service providers
• Handle communications from federal and state tax authorities, including tracking, documenting, and responding to tax notices
• Facilitate annual nexus reviews for income tax compliance
• Review and interpret legal documents and contracts to ensure accurate tax reporting
• Collaborate with teams across Accounting, Finance, Asset Management, and other departments to gain insights into financial performance and transactions
• Utilize technological tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency in tax processes
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the tax function

• A minimum of 3 or more years of experience in income tax, preferably within a public accounting firm, corporate real estate or related industry
• Proven experience with partnership tax compliance and research
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
• Proficiency in building and maintaining successful relationships both internally and externally
• Advanced skills in Excel and the ability to apply systems based solutions for tax-related workflows

CPA certification is preferred
