Senior Tax Accountant

• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail
• Manage and oversee 20+ client accounts, including large-scale manufacturing clients with significant revenue
• Utilize software tools such as UltraTax, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite to streamline tax preparation processes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales and use tax filings
• Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide strategic advice
• Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and optimize tax strategies
• Contribute to the firm’s operational goals, including revenue growth initiatives
• Train and support team members in best practices for tax preparation and client management
• Work independently and efficiently to meet tight deadlines during peak tax season
• Participate in the firm’s strategic planning for future growth and potential partnership opportunities.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and account management
• Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns, including sales tax and use tax
• Familiarity with UltraTax, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite software
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to manage a high volume of client accounts independently
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle complex workloads
• Prior experience in a CPA firm is preferred, especially in smaller firm settings
• Local to the Harford County, Maryland area or willing to commute.
