We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Bridgewater, New Jersey. In this role, you will focus on preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations, while also managing accounting tasks for business clients. This position requires expertise in tax preparation and proficiency in QuickBooks.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations
Conduct accounting write-up work for business clients to ensure compliance and efficiency
Manage and analyze sales tax filings and ensure adherence to regulations
Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and organize financial records effectively
Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide strategic advice
Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize financial outcomes
Assist in resolving tax-related discrepancies and issues promptly
Provide detailed reports and summaries of tax filings to clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven experience in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and filing procedures
Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting and financial management
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines
In-depth understanding of tax laws and compliance requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills for client interactions and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
