In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in supporting our tax department's operations, providing expertise in corporate tax matters, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions in accordance with applicable regulations
Conduct thorough tax research to provide insights and recommendations on the implications of business decisions
Support tax audits by compiling necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities
Monitor updates to tax laws and evaluate their potential impact on organizational policies and procedures
Utilize tax-related software such as PowerPlan and OneSource to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
Collaborate with internal teams to improve tax department operations and reporting capabilities
Ensure accurate preparation of sales and use tax filings and address related inquiries
Provide guidance on individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes
Requirements:
Proven experience in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns
Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance requirements
Familiarity with tax preparation software such as PowerPlan and OneSource
Ability to conduct detailed tax research and provide actionable insights
Experience in handling sales and use tax filings and audits
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
