Job Description

Our East Bay client is seeking an additional Senior Tax Accountant for the remainder of the tax season. In this engagement, you’ll leverage your extensive expertise in tax preparation, compliance, and planning to provide exceptional service to clients across various entity types. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while managing key client relationships and contributing to the growth of our firm. This can be a 100% remote role, and is expected to pay between $65-80 DOE and location.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with precision and adherence to current regulations
  • Conduct comprehensive tax planning and compliance for diverse entity types, ensuring accuracy and optimization
  • Utilize tax preparation software, including CCH ProSystem Fx, to streamline processes and maintain efficiency
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality, personalized service
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to entry level staff, sharing insights and expertise gained from years in senior roles
  • Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for tax savings and financial growth
  • Maintain proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite to support accounting and reporting needs
  • Acquire new clients and foster business development efforts to expand the firm’s reach
  • Stay updated on evolving tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and leveraging changes for client advantage
  • Handle complex tax scenarios with confidence and technical expertise

Requirements

  • Active CPA license is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of tax preparation experience
  • Advanced knowledge of tax law, compliance, and planning for various entity types
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and Microsoft Office Suite
