Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Systems Testing/QA Specialist to join our team. This role is focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and accessibility of large-scale, business-critical systems. You will be responsible for the end-to-end testing lifecycle—from strategy and planning to execution and defect tracking—working across web-based 3-tier platforms, custom implementations and COTS solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert advice on testing strategies and tools. Develop comprehensive test plans, scripts, and cases for complex systems involving intricate data, rules, and high rates of change
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and system tests in both GUI and non-GUI environments. Validate system behavior against business requirements to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, performance/stress testing, and data reconciliation for large-scale migrations or transformations
  • Conduct thorough accessibility testing aligned with AODA (WCAG 2.0 AA) standards using tools such as JAWS, NVDA, and WAVE
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and Bugzilla. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Postman, or Micro Focus UFT, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups) and collaborate with Business Analysts and Project Managers to clarify requirements and maintain quality metrics

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading manual testing and data reconciliation for large, business-critical 3-tier software platforms
  • Excellent working knowledge of Jira, Bugzilla, and the Micro Focus Product Suite
  • Familiarity with IBM J-Rules Engine and COTS implementations is highly preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience in Accessibility testing (AODA/WCAG) and familiarity with screen readers and compliance software
  • Demonstrated ability to write complex SQL queries to validate backend data and perform comprehensive data analysis
  • Clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working within Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or Bash) for automation and experience with performance tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, strong verbal/written communication, and a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines
