Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a 12 month contract in Toronto.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead end-to-end development and execution of Quality Assurance (QA) testing strategy, test plans, test scripts, test cases, traceability matrices, regression strategies, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing
  • Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests)
  • The tester will work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the required systems
  • Define testing scope, risk assessments, quality gates, acceptance criteria, and release readiness criteria
  • Establish robust QA standards for functional, data, security, and performance testing

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems in GUI and non GUI environments
  • Demonstrated experience in coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases
  • Demonstrated experience Knowledge and experience in the use of DevOps tools (Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and test plan walkthroughs and in carrying out static testing
  • Looking for someone who is independent and proactive who can be an asset to the team
