Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.
Job Responsibility
Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Requirements
4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Strong expertise in SQL scripting and Stored Procedures
Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting
Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments
Experience working with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools
Strong knowledge of middleware technologies
Exposure to Shell scripting
PowerShell scripting is a plus
Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing tool
Knowledge of deployment tools like UCD (UrbanCode Deploy) and Harness
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and release management
Basic understanding of monitoring tools and alerting systems
Provide L2/L3 production support for business-critical applications
Monitor application health, jobs, and interfaces using tools like Autosys
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within defined SLAs
Perform SQL queries, data validation, and performance tuning
Analyze logs in Unix/Linux systems to identify root causes
Handle incident management, problem management, and change requests
Work with cross-functional teams (development, infra, middleware) for issue resolution
Support deployment activities using UCD/Harness
Create and maintain support documentation and SOPs
Participate in on-call support and weekend shifts as required
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Knowledge of scripting automation and process improvements
