Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer in supporting a critical function within the Wells Fargo Enterprise, Mainframe and Midrange Console Monitoring.
Job Responsibility:
Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Responsible for monitoring the overall Mainframe/Midrange infrastructure, responding to alert messages and resolving routine production, application and system problems according to operating instructions or with guidance to ensure that the data center service commitments are met
Requirements:
4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of experience in Mainframe console operations
4+ years of experience using incident tracking tools (Service Now) for change management, problem and incident management, and availability management
Monitor the overall Mainframe/Midrange system environment, responding to alert messages and resolving routine production, application and system problems according to operating instructions or with guidance to ensure that the data center service commitments are met
Implement best practices for Mainframe Operations. Process Development, Quality Management Processes, Industry Knowledge
Runs scripts and drafts updates to processing procedures / documentation within the data center for application processing and backup

Demonstrated ability in MF skills: z/OS related (JES2, VTAM etc.), CICS, IMS, DB2, HMC, Console commands, IPL etc
Knowledge and understanding of technology support: logically analyzing, diagnosing, and solving technology problems (system, network, application, or field hardware)
