Job Description:

Senior Systems Operations Engineer role at Wells Fargo focusing on managing installed systems and infrastructure, increasing system efficiencies, ensuring highest levels of systems availability, and providing application production support services for international operations.

Job Responsibility:

Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure
Contribute to increasing system efficiencies and lowering human intervention time
Review and analyze operational support systems and application software
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables
Deliver day-to-day application production support services for international suite of applications
Create SLA and BCP plans
Help deliver timely, accurate and actionable business information
Streamline support by identifying areas for improvement
Identify system bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvements
Lead cross application support programs
Contribute to application stability and identify incident patterns
Champion continuous improvement work across Technology & Infrastructure teams
Identify and implement service delivery improvements through automation

Requirements:

4+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience
Experience in application support, development and deployment in Banking industry
4+ years of experience leading Application support for multiple business critical applications
Knowledge of relational databases – Oracle, SQL Server
Hands on experience using monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Netcool, APM or equivalent
Strong hands-on experience in Production support in a financial services company
Understanding of payment flows, Reconciliation and Regulatory reporting
Clear understanding of OLA's and SLAs with respect to payments and currency cut-offs
IT Service Management, ITIL, Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management & Service transformations knowledge

Nice to have:

Good presentation skills including ability to engage with leadership
Strong presentation and training skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with strong time management skills
Knowledge of new technologies and tools for process improvements
