Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer

Job Responsibility:

Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Requirements:

4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in a support or operations role
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they can be used for monitoring, automation, or predictive analysis
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)
Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices
Experience leading small teams or acting as a technical SME
Background in banking or financial services environments
Willingness to work in shifts or on-call support, if required
Ability to handle production issues calmly and efficiently
Follow standard processes while also identifying opportunities to improve them
Share knowledge and support team learning
Maintain proper documentation and operational runbooks
Collaborate effectively with global teams and vendors
Strong years of overall IT experience in Systems Operations, Production Support, or Infrastructure Engineering
Strong hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or similar roles
Strong experience with Autosys or enterprise job scheduling tools
Good working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases
Experience supporting applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
Hands-on scripting or automation experience using Python (or similar languages)
Experience working in an ITSM-based environment (Incident, Problem, Change, SLA management)
Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work under time-sensitive situations
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:
