Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior System Operations Engineer to lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area. The role involves contributing to increasing system efficiencies, reviewing and analyzing operational support systems, working with vendors for problem resolution, and collaborating with technical personnel to ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

Job Responsibility:

Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Requirements:

4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of application production support experience
Exposure in developing code based solutions to accomplish automation needs
3+ years of infrastructure support experience
4+ years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture (i.e., applications to infrastructure)
Knowledge and understanding of system monitoring and automation
Knowledge and understanding of system/application architecture and design concepts
Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
4+ years of application support using RedHat Linux and/or Windows operating systems, as well as supporting applications (Java / Dot NET based) that utilize database management systems such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Mongo
4+ years of experience supporting cloud technologies
4+ years of experience with Application performance, monitoring and optimization using tools such Blaze meter, JMeter, Splunk and AppDynamics, Elastic and Grafana
4+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript
2+ years of experience designing and managing Splunk Dashboards, reports, lookup tables, and summary indexes
Ability to work independently, with the flexibility to work in a 24x7 environment
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Leadership skills including coaching, training, and mentoring
