Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer to lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure, increase system efficiencies, ensure highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, work with vendors for problem resolution, and collaborate with technical personnel to resolve issues.

Job Responsibility:

Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Requirements:

4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
6+ years of hands-on IT experience in Supporting Complex Windows/Linux environment web-based Java/.NET enterprise applications
Writing SQL Queries for fault diagnostics, resolution or Change controls
Production Application Support including customer issues investigation and resolution
Ability to handle Change Requests and deploy applications in Production/non-production environments
Good working knowledge of Application servers and shell scripting
Good working knowledge of Window servers and Informatica
Experience configuring monitoring tools for cloud applications and non-cloud applications
Good knowledge in Autosys
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills including debugging skills
Flexibility to work in ad-hoc shifts when required
Support coverage during weekends
Good understanding in ServiceNow

Nice to have:

Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
Good knowledge on observability tools, telemetry, CICD pipeline, Incident management which includes blameless PM and RCA
Hands on experience for APPD, APM, thousand eyes & grafana, prometheus
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
Participating in testing and updating the business continuity plan
The ability to understand team dynamics and use interpersonal skills and personal judgment to achieve goals
