Senior Systems Operations Engineer

• Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
• contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
• review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
• lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
• collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• perform regular system maintenance including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
• automate routine system administration tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
• collaborate with application, network, and security teams to support infrastructure needs
• monitor systems using enterprise tools and respond to alerts and incidents

4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) in production environments
• experience with enterprise storage systems, particularly NetApp NAS
• familiarity with Microsoft DFS configuration and troubleshooting
• experience supporting Connect:Direct (NDM) and AXST in enterprise environments
• experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid IT environments
• proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)
• experience with OpenText RightFax
• experience with some form of ticketing system (ServiceNow)
• experience with backup and recovery strategies and tools
• strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
