A growing engineering organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead end‑to‑end development of complex electro‑mechanical and embedded systems. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys full lifecycle ownership—from concept and requirements through design, integration, verification, and product release. You will serve as a key technical contributor and project engineer, collaborating closely with cross‑functional hardware, software, and test teams to deliver high‑reliability products used in demanding operational environments.
Job Responsibility:
Lead system‑level design, analysis, and integration activities for new product development initiatives
Own requirements definition, decomposition, traceability, and verification throughout the development lifecycle
Develop system architectures involving digital communication interfaces, embedded processing, control algorithms, and supporting electronics
Support proposal and planning efforts by contributing technical concepts, cost estimates, schedules, and compliance documentation
Perform modeling and analysis of dynamic systems, including uncertainty analysis and performance characterization
Partner with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams to ensure requirements are clearly interpreted and implemented
Develop test requirements and support qualification, verification, and acceptance testing
Provide engineering support for sustaining activities on existing products
Utilize modern requirements management, configuration management, and issue‑tracking tools to support structured development processes
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or related engineering disciplines
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field (advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus)
Experience working with complex electronic or embedded systems
Familiarity with structured development standards and verification/validation processes
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced engineering environment
Must be eligible to work with controlled technical data in accordance with U.S. regulations
Nice to have:
Exposure to environmental and electromagnetic qualification standards
Background in embedded hardware, firmware, or avionics‑related technologies
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Reqtify, or similar)
Knowledge of digital communication buses, control systems, or dynamic modeling
