Job Description

BAE Systems, a top-ten prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Defense, enables the U.S. government to transform data into intelligence and provides engineering, integration and sustainment support for critical military platforms and systems. Intelligence & Security provides services and products to the Department of Defense, the government, federal law enforcement officials, and troops deployed around the world. We are looking for experienced Systems Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems
  • Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services
  • Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in computer science are preferred with six (6) year’s relevant experience and education
  • Infrastructure as a code language
  • Ansible is a must have
  • Experience working with System Automation
  • Experience working with Linux
  • Eclipse developmental duties
  • Git Hub
  • Dev Ops
  • Java
  • Python
  • Candidate should have experience in security review of applications and infrastructure
  • 4+ Years experience participating in agile activities
  • Researches new technologies in object oriented programming
  • Experience in Cloud based services
  • Works well in a engineering team environment with other teammates who varied skills levels
  • Ability to mentor others
  • Must be able to obtain Top Secret/SCI Polygraph clearance
  • Must currently possess Top Secret/SCI Polygraph clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • U.S. Person required

Nice to have

  • Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.
  • Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, etc.
