Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer, Financial Systems to support and evolve our NetSuite accounting systems that power Fivetran’s core financial operations. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that our ERP environment supports scalable, accurate, and efficient financial processes across Record to Report and key aspects of Order to Cash. You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and Engineering teams to maintain and improve NetSuite configurations, financial reporting, and close processes. This role will also drive automation and operational improvements within the ERP environment while ensuring data integrity and strong system controls. As a senior-level engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of NetSuite while helping Finance scale processes and reporting as the company grows.

Job Responsibility

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize NetSuite financial modules including GL, AR, ARM, and financial reporting
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance stakeholders to support Record to Report and financial close processes within NetSuite
  • Develop and maintain workflows, saved searches, reports, and dashboards to support financial operations and reporting needs
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by ensuring accurate system configuration and reliable financial data
  • Maintain strong system controls, audit readiness, and documentation of system configurations and financial processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve NetSuite-related issues through the Financial Systems Jira support queue
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and the internal Systems Engineering team on enhancements and system improvements
  • Ensure accurate data flows between NetSuite and connected systems such as Coupa and other finance tools
  • Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve operational efficiency within NetSuite
  • Contribute to the long-term roadmap for financial systems and accounting automation

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience working with NetSuite or enterprise financial systems in an ERP or financial systems role
  • Strong expertise configuring and supporting NetSuite financial modules including GL, AR, and revenue recognition
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes including Record to Report and financial close workflows
  • Experience building reports, saved searches, dashboards, and workflows within NetSuite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to partner effectively with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing AI-driven finance automation, predictive analytics, or intelligent workflow tooling
  • Familiarity with SuiteTax or tax engine implementations
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS company or public company environment
  • Familiarity with data platforms such as BigQuery and building financial data pipelines
