Job Description:

The role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for enhancements and new products, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Candidates will analyze customer IT needs to deliver solutions through the cloud platform Green Lake, drive technology innovation, and work collaboratively across teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • leads multiple project teams of software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
  • reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
  • provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk
  • provides domain-specific expertise and software systems leadership to projects, programs, and activities
  • drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and SDLC stages
  • provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
  • architect and design cross functional enhancements and modules for HPE storage products QA automation frameworks, libraries, applications and utilities
  • knowledge of complete SDLC and experience in testing methodologies, tools, test planning and execution
  • code reviewing skills with sharp ability to identify potential errors, missing logic and convention violations
  • strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for performing root cause analysis
  • effectively work with stakeholders in multiple engineering teams for defect investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventative actions
  • work in continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • design, automate and execute tests(unit tests and integration tests) for automated solutions
  • identify and debug issues with code and suggest changes or improvements
  • collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 9+ years of experience in developing and supporting automation test frameworks and libraries
  • proficiency in programming languages and Object oriented design
  • SQL/NoSQL databases
  • development of Web applications using REST APIs, JSON and microservices
  • Docker, Microservices, Containerization, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD, Git/Gitlab, GitHub, Jenkins
  • LINUX/VM environments and Shell scripting
  • scale/performance testing tools
  • familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, and defect tracking workflows
  • experience with monitoring and log analysis tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack) is a plus
  • extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages is a plus
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels
