Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our team, specializing in SAP ASE database maintenance, monitoring, and migration. The candidate should have a strong background in administering large SAP ASE databases, performance monitoring, and problem-solving. This role will also involve future migration projects from Solaris/Spark environments to x86 architecture systems. Flexible and hybrid work environment with key offices in Warsaw, Lublin, and Poznań.

Job Responsibility:

Administer SAP ASE databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
set up and manage database backups to ensure data integrity and availability
monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Prometheus and CheckMK
collaborate on migration projects from Solaris/Spark environments to x86 architecture systems
develop and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or Perl to automate routine tasks and solve complex problems

Requirements:

Proven experience in administering large SAP ASE databases
in-depth knowledge of Replication Server, Component Integration Services, and Backup Server
experience in database tuning and monitoring using tools like Prometheus and CheckMK
proficient in working with Unix systems, including Linux and Solaris
basic knowledge of PostgreSQL or MariaDB
ability to solve non-trivial tasks using scripts in Bash, Python, or Perl
basic knowledge of configuration management and automation
