As a Support Worker, you'll work alongside the individuals we support, their families, and a wider team to help them achieve their aspirations, improve their quality of life, and develop their independence.
Job Responsibility:
Day-to-Day Support: Assist with daily routines, supporting individuals to live as independently as possible while promoting choice and control over their lives
Personal Care: Provide support with personal care needs when required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
Health & Wellbeing: Support with health care needs, including accompanying individuals to routine medical appointments and managing medication as required
Life Skills Development: Support individuals with budgeting, shopping, paying bills, and other essential life skills
Social & Emotional Support: Encourage the development of social skills and emotional resilience, helping individuals engage in hobbies, community activities, and skills development
Domestic Support: Assist with light domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and ensuring a clean and safe living environment
Tailored Support: Work closely with the individuals and their support network to create personalized care plans and goals, ensuring each individual’s needs are met
Requirements:
Experience in Learning Disabilities Care: Previous experience working with people who have learning disabilities is essential
