Job Description:

Senior Support Worker role at The Poplars care home, providing high-quality residential, day, respite and dementia care. Supporting the Home Manager and leading a team of carers to deliver outstanding care to residents.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a small team of people to deliver outstanding care
  • Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity, and independence
  • Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Manage time between supporting team effectively and ensuring wellbeing of residents

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a residential care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Positive role model
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Natural ability to get along with others
  • Supportive individual
  • Able to motivate others
  • Confident taking charge
  • Able to use own initiative to resolve problems and deal with queries

Nice to have:

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience delegating tasks
  • Supporting inductions for new starters
  • Conducting 1 to 1s
