Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Registered Nurse / Team Leader to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the comprehensive care needs of each resident living in our care home
Delivering hands on personal care, leadership and support to provide the highest standards of person-centred care ensuring our residents live their best lives
Motivating and supervising the care team, ensuring you have oversight of your team performance, providing coaching, mentoring and leadership support to promote positive change
Maintain accurate records of the job you do which will include completing assessments, writing care plans, resident reviews, and evaluations
Administering medication
Leading by example in setting high standards of care and support, encouraging a positive work environment where practices are safe and meet all relevant standards, policies, and legislation
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a senior care worker in a similar care setting is preferred
Experienced care workers actively working towards their SVQ Level 3 and looking for your next step up
Professional, compassionate, kind and motivated with a sense of fun
Ability to lead, motivate, inspire and develop a team
Organised, flexible in your approach and have great communication and leadership skills
Confident in the use of IT applications
To be a Senior Support Worker you will be registered as a supervisor with the Scottish Social Services Council, within the necessary time frame
You will already have or be on a journey to obtain the qualifications required for your SSSC registration: Practice and supervisory qualification/s SVQ level 3 or higher, or its equivalent in Social Services & Healthcare
