Job Description:

About Isfryn: Isfryn is situated in between the village Ystylafera and the town of Ystradgynlais, in the beautiful Swansea valleys. There are 8 people living at Isfryn, six men and two women. Each person has a brain injury, and some have a secondary mental health diagnosis. Isfryn is mostly a calm environment although it can be busy. Staff state it is a rewarding place to work. We need staff who will support the people here with their personal daily needs and activities. People like to go out into the community to do various things like attending church, the cinema, visit the pub, café and shopping! Transport links are limited on Sundays.

Job Responsibility:

Involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service

Requirements:

  • Managing a team of Support Workers
  • Providing high standards of care for the people we support, in line with care and support plans
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
  • Liaise with health professionals and their families
  • Complete supervisions and audits
  • To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home
  • Must be over the age of 18
