To lead and manage all procurement, stores and logistics functions across all their UK and overseas bases, ensuring full regulatory compliance, cost-effective procurement, optimal stock availability, and strong operational support to maintenance and flight operations.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, manage, and develop all Stores and Supply Chain staff, fostering teamwork and high performance
Define departmental objectives, KPIs, and performance standards
Ensure adequate resourcing, training (Aerotrac, regulatory), succession planning, and competency management
Act as primary escalation point for supply chain issues (AOG, vendor failures, logistics delays)
Oversee all purchasing activities: parts, consumables, tooling, GSE, and contracted services
Manage supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation
Develop procurement strategies to reduce cost, improve lead times, and manage risks
Support aircraft teardown, part-out, storage, preservation, and part-sales processes
Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, repair vendors, and partners
Ensure all stores are fully Part 145 compliant, including storage conditions, segregation, and traceability
Oversee tooling calibration programmes and compliance monitoring
Develop stock level forecasting models and monitor stock accuracy, obsolescence, and rotable turnaround
Ensure efficient import/export processes, customs compliance, and Dangerous Goods handling
Lead AOG logistics support and oversee shipping, distribution, and dispatch standards
Optimise use of Aerotrac (or other ERP/MRP) systems for inventory and logistics
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support ISO 9001:2015 compliance
Maintain compliance with UK CAA/EASA Part 145, Part M, ADR/IATA DG, export control, and customs regulations
Support audits, implement corrective actions, and improve procedures
Act as key contact for supply chain matters with internal and external stakeholders
Provide oversight for basic facilities support and coordinate third-party maintenance services
Requirements:
Proven experience in aviation supply chain and stores management
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance (UK CAA/EASA Part 145, Part M)
Skilled in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (Aerotrac preferred)
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
