The Senior Supply Chain Manager (Project Procurement) is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for major capital projects within direct & indirect procurement domain. This leader will bridge the gap between engineering, project management, operations and external suppliers to ensure that all materials, equipment, and services are procured on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
Defining & developing Sourcing Strategy for Projects Procurement of Equipments, Assemblies & Sub-Assemblies
Contributing significantly to developing URS (User Requirement Specifications) & Contractuals
Developing and managing executive level engagement and relationships with existing & potential strategic suppliers
Assessing the capability gaps in existing supply chains and Identify & develop new suppliers
Owning the supplier selection, commercials including pricing & business award (sourcing)
Ensuring compliance of contracts & agreements
Conducting periodic business review with management of strategic suppliers
Periodically gathering, developing and sharing Procurement Intelligence
Supporting the internal stakeholders to resolve escalations on supplier
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering
7-10 Yrs experience in Purchasing / Category Management of Capital Purchases at Regional (North America) &/or Global level
Experience in working in multi-location manufacturing environment in North America with exposure to direct and indirect procurement
Excellent communication (written & spoken) skills in English
Excellent Negotiation skills & ability to draft contracts
Excellent skills in using MS Office (Excel,Powerpoint,Word)
Exposure to ERP environment
Being able to think and act strategically and yet being able to demonstrate excellent tactical acumen & problem solving skills
