Job Description

ADG has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer, and we are flexible on location - this role can be based from our Brisbane (Toowong), Gold Coast, or Sydney office. This is a pivotal role where you'll contribute to project management, support and mentor junior engineers, and interface directly with key clients. You will gain exposure to projects across Australia, broadening both your technical expertise and client experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertake complex engineering design tasks as part of a project team
  • Independently run projects and deliver on client requirements
  • Collaborate nationally with other technical specialists
  • Play a leadership role in supporting and developing engineers in your team
  • Contribute to project management
  • Support and mentor junior engineers
  • Interface directly with key clients

Requirements

  • Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
  • 5-10 years' industry experience
  • CPEng and RPEQ (or working toward these)
  • Strong design experience in large buildings - concrete frame and steel structures across industrial, commercial, and retail sectors
  • Understanding of geotechnical and basement/retention walls, as well as seismic and wind design loads
  • Solid knowledge of construction methods and temporary works
  • Ability to solve complex engineering problems with innovative, practical solutions
  • Strong communicator with mentoring and leadership capability
