Job Responsibility:
Work directly with clients, attend client meetings
Lead other engineering team members, mentor junior staff
Ensure the quality of structural documentation
Execute and eventually lead the selection and layout of gravity and lateral systems
Perform technical analysis, and drives innovative, high-quality structural designs
Work with the Engineer of Record to determine codes, loads, analysis methods, and engineering tools appropriate for the project
Support and develop creative design concepts, evaluating multiple alternatives to determine optimal solutions
Apply expertise in steel and reinforced concrete design, while expanding knowledge in timber, reinforced masonry, structural aluminum, and stainless steel
Produce and review structural drawing packages, sketches, and engineering reports
Contribute to site observations, condition assessment reports, and construction administration activities
Perform engineering analysis and calculations using industry-leading structural analysis software
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
10+ years of experience with IBC-style building codes and U.S. national standards
Working or proficient knowledge of at least one structural analysis software suite: SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D, or similar
Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities

Nice to have:
Graduate degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Knowledgeable to proficient experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (Revit)
