Job Description:

AECOM’s Resources & Industrial (R&I) Team is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer in Townsville to support major projects across our broader R&I teams and offices, including Brisbane, Mackay and Newcastle. Our team works across the broader mining sector including underground and open cut, minerals processing, smelting and mining support infrastructure plus general industrial facilities, refineries, sugar mills, ports, water and wastewater installations.

Job Responsibility:

Support major projects across broader R&I teams and offices
Work across the broader mining sector including underground and open cut, minerals processing, smelting and mining support infrastructure plus general industrial facilities, refineries, sugar mills, ports, water and wastewater installations
Build strong relationships with clients
Support the continued growth of the team to deliver for new and existing clients
Be a hands-on leader
Responsible for the team’s resource allocation & performance in both winning and delivering small to medium sized projects across the North Queensland region

Requirements:

Knowledge of design, Australian Standards, ASME codes and API standards
5 years + experience as a Civil Engineer within the Mining Industry, with demonstrated experience in the design and specification of structural engineering
Extensive mining, heavy industry and industrial experience
Excellent written and communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability
RPEQ accredited (or able to obtain)
