Job Responsibility

  • Lead structural design for varied and complex projects, integrating innovative engineering solutions across multiple materials (steel, concrete, wood, masonry)
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and professional growth
  • Perform advanced structural analyses and present findings in clear, comprehensive reports
  • Oversee project management, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project integration
  • Stay current with advancements in structural engineering and incorporate cutting-edge practices
  • Engage with clients to understand technical needs, provide strategic insights, and support business development by showcasing Olsson’s technical capabilities and expertise

Requirements

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and mentor engineering teams
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis) preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience (preferred: 12+ years) with a focus on facilities design and project leadership
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Proficiency in structural design and drafting software
  • experience with Autodesk Revit preferred
  • Experience with Post Tensioned Concrete Design preferred

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis)
  • 12+ years of structural engineering experience
