Job Responsibility:
Undertaking advanced technical tasks on the stormwater network
Providing on-site leadership to crews
Maintaining and constructing stormwater systems
Repairing and installing pipes and fittings
Ensuring the network operates efficiently and safely
Requirements:
Level 4 Stormwater Reticulation qualification or working towards it
Drain laying qualification with proven experience in drainage installation and maintenance
Minimum of five years’ experience in the water industry or a related field
Class 1 driver’s licence
Class 2 licence, WTR endorsements and confined spaces certification considered an advantage
Highly skilled, safety-focused, and committed to delivering quality work
Strong problem-solving ability, initiative, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
Practical knowledge and technical expertise
Nice to have:
Class 2 licence
WTR endorsements
Confined spaces certification
Staff who speak te reo Maori, have an appreciation of Maori values, and a working knowledge of tikanga Maori
