Job Responsibility

  • Participate in early-stage product development and communicate expectations and ensure the successful capture of Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Test & Service requirements
  • Ability to develop schedules for new product development from concept to launch, set milestones, assess & mitigate risks, develop action plans, coordinate activities and drive results within cross-functional teams
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with project team and relevant stakeholders to communicate and coordinate activities
  • Deliver new products on-time, within budget, and at expected quality and reliability levels
  • Serve as the central technical leader for cross functional teams including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, firmware engineering, and cloud/mobile software, quality, manufacturing and supply chain/operations
  • Guide daily engineering tasks including schedule prioritization, tracking the status and resolution of bug/issues
  • Facilitate initial build plans, drive material readiness with supply chain and evaluate constraints
  • Collaborate with the Engineering teams to solve technical problems and provide rapid prototyping support
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop efficient methods for assembling and testing product

Requirements

  • BS or MS or PhD degree in EE or ECE equivalent relevant experience
  • 8 to 12 years of experience or more in New Product Development (NPD) roles
  • In depth experience in developing electronic products from concept to launch
  • In depth knowledge of electrical circuits that includes one or more of the following: RF circuits, digital circuits, analog circuits, control circuits, switching, power management
  • In depth understanding of system architecture and system design principles
  • Familiarity and experience with UL and IEC certification standards for energy storage products (UL1741/IEEE1547, UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, IEC62109, etc)
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering design, tool development, injection molding, and sheet metal parts manufacturing
  • In depth knowledge of NPD processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong team worker within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments
  • Capable of clear, accurate and timely communication both written and verbal

Nice to have

  • Understanding of solar, energy storage, micro grids and renewable energy systems
  • Experience in Inverter, UPS, Power Electronic circuits design and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on Experience in handling the lab electronics equipment
  • Knowledge in Lithium Ion based Energy storage systems, Battery management system
