Job Description:

The Innovation Lab is an advanced R&D team that is part of the Semiconductor Test Division at Teradyne. We have a dual charter to technically support the growth of the division and company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create long term differentiated solutions for our core Semiconductor Test business by exploring new technologies and architectures to be applied against current and emerging key requirements for our customers
  • Working with our Business Development Office, develop differentiated solutions for new business opportunities adjacent to our core business
  • Propose any project that you feel can make a difference relative to the Innovation Lab Charter
  • "Own" the projects you sponsor and lead the development through a proof-of-concept phase
  • Be hands-on during the project and will be supported by other staff from the overall engineering team as required to execute your project

Requirements:

  • MS in Physics Preferred or MS in Engineering
  • At least 15 years working experience in design engineering with an increasing focus on developing innovative technical solutions on projects
  • Experience in the architectural definition of products leading to competitive differentiation
  • The candidate should have broad technical curiosity, be highly versatile in multiple technologies and engineering disciplines and have an inherent "Out of the Box" bias in problem solving
  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following is desired: Instrumentation Architecture, Logic Design, Software, ASIC Technology, System Architecture, High Performance Signal Delivery, Optics, Thermal Control
  • Knowledge and preferably experience in the Semiconductor Industry and Semiconductor Testing
  • Comfortable in customer facing and senior management interactions
