Job Description

Robert Half is working with a respected client in the Acton, MA area seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its team. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts, participating in month-end closings and audits, and assisting in financial analysis and reporting. The position is responsible for proper accounting records, ultimately ensuring that reported financial results are GAAP compliant and in line with standard industry practices. . Currently, this is an Hybrid permanent opportunity.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Participating in month-end closings and audits
  • Assisting in financial analysis and reporting
  • Responsible for proper accounting records, ultimately ensuring that reported financial results are GAAP compliant and in line with standard industry practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on corporate accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting and/or CPA a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver on detailed tasks
  • Excellent communication amongst co-workers, management, and external parties
  • Attention to detail, deadline oriented, and reliable, with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines
  • Expert in Excel and general PC and proficient in Word
  • Experience in corporate accounting for a retailer and/or with Great Plains and V360 is a plus
