Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Staff Accountant to join our client's dynamic team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding accounting and payroll services to clients. The position requires strong expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, and client management, along with the ability to mentor and lead others.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality advisory, financial reporting, and bookkeeping services tailored to client needs
  • Manage and oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely services across multiple states
  • Train, mentor, and guide team members and clients to enhance their knowledge and efficiency
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues professionally
  • Coordinate and manage projects, including client onboarding and ensuring smooth transitions
  • Monitor firm-wide operations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
  • Utilize advanced QuickBooks skills to handle multiple files and companies simultaneously
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns for clients in compliance with multi-state regulations
  • Implement and adapt to new technologies and applications to optimize workflow processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, with significant focus on bookkeeping and QuickBooks
  • Proven knowledge of payroll processing and tax returns across multiple states
  • Strong skills in QuickBooks Desktop and Online, as well as intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
  • equivalent experience and skills will be considered
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and mentor others
  • Adept at learning and working with various apps and technologies
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented, positive attitude
