Job Description:

As an Infrastructure SRE Specialist within Citi's Enterprise Operations & Technology, specifically supporting the Chief Information Security Office (CISO), you will be a critical part of a team dedicated to safeguarding Citi's and its clients' assets and information. You will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our IT infrastructure components. This role requires a strong focus on diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues, continuous improvement through automation and new technologies, and proactive system health monitoring. A significant aspect of this role will involve migrating virtualized environments to the OpenShift platform and enhancing database technologies, particularly MS SQL Server.

Job Responsibility:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability and optimal performance of all critical IT infrastructure components
Act as key escalation point for 1st and 2nd line Service Desk teams
Proactively identify and address problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
Run and maintain production environment by continuously monitoring system health, availability, and performance
Design, deploy, and maintain robust Windows-based infrastructure
Refine existing systems and introduce new technologies and best practices
Lead and execute migration of virtualized environments to OpenShift platform
Gather and analyze comprehensive metrics for performance tuning and capacity planning
Create and implement sustainable systems through automation
Partner with development teams to enhance service quality

Requirements:

6+ years of extensive IT support experience with strong background in infrastructure management and reliability engineering
Proven experience in migrating virtualized environments to the OpenShift platform
Demonstrated experience with MS SQL Server and other database technologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows administration, including Windows Server environments
Solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems
Expert proficiency in Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory
Strong expertise in DNS, Group Policy, Backup solutions, and general infrastructure components
Hands-on experience with Azure
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, switches, routers, and wireless networking
Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server queries and experience with other database technologies
Experience with OpenShift platform migration and management

Nice to have:

Ability to provide comprehensive hardware, software, and network problem analysis and resolution support
Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills, capable of documenting complex technical details and collaborating with diverse teams
