Senior Speech Pathologist Grade 3 within the Brain Disorders Program, providing clinical care to patients with complex care needs and dual diagnosis - Neurological and psychiatric disability.
Job Responsibility:
Undertaking a swallowing assessment
Providing therapy as part of a goal-driven rehabilitation program
Developing AAC and supported communication aides/methods to enhance care delivery and empower patients to be able to communicate their needs and be involved in their care
Providing education (including Point of Care education) to the wider team, family and carers, as indicated
Leading a quality improvement activity
Requirements:
Eligible for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
7+ years of relevant clinical experience
Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
Commitment to evidence-based practice and ability to translate this into practice
Experience in teaching, training and education
High level interpersonal skills that promote team development and engagement, and a proven ability to relate to people at all levels within an organisation
