The role focuses on strategic management of transfer pricing and EBIT margins across the NAFTA region. It includes analyzing and adjusting intercompany pricing, developing measures to achieve target margins, and preparing reports for global stakeholders. The position involves solving complex transfer pricing issues and providing operational support to business lines, including tailored training sessions. A key aspect is ensuring compliance with tax and customs regulations while minimizing risks. Additionally, the role includes system & process optimization by developing automation solutions and dashboards to enhance efficiency and transparency.
Job Responsibility:
Responsibility for the proper and tax-compliant segmentation of the P&L of all group companies in the NAFTA region
Independent development and implementation of measures to achieve defined target EBIT margins in the distribution business within the framework of a group-wide transfer pricing strategy
Independent preparation and analysis of EBIT margin reports from a transfer pricing perspective for regional and global stakeholders (e.g. CFOs, Local & Group Tax, BL Controlling)
Continuous adjustment of transfer prices and calculation schemes to evolving business models, investment projects, and structural changes (e.g. acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures)
Development of practical solutions to complex transfer pricing issues and acting as a sparring partner for regional CFOs, tax departments, controlling teams, and business lines in a global setup
Operational support for business lines on transfer pricing topics as well as design and delivery of target group-specific training sessions
Proactive monitoring and assessment of country-specific (NAFTA) and global tax and customs regulations
Derivation and implementation of appropriate strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risks
Responsibility for the stable operation and strategic development of the SAP Fiori add-on EXA-OTP, particularly regarding AI-supported functions and machine learning in collaboration with the software provider
Analysis and optimization of intercompany and transfer pricing processes, as well as independent development of automation solutions and Power BI dashboards to enhance transparency and effectiveness in the transfer pricing context
Participation in and leadership of projects/initiatives for the further development of tools, processes, and integration of new data sources (IBP, Cupset, AvIS)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Controlling/Taxes or related field
Extensive expertise in controlling/accounting processes and international valuation standards (IFRS)
Operational Experience in Evonik Business Lines (e.g. Supply Chain or Controlling) preferred
Proficiency in SAP ERP & BW and Office365 applications
experience in low code development for Power BI, Power Apps etc highly preferred
Excellent English language skills
