Job Description

Provides specialized legal expertise in multiple legal disciplines to design and implement legal and compliance programs evenly spanning multiple legal job families

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinates legal counsel on a broad range of legal and compliance issues to enable the organization to achieve its (commercial) objectives and manage legal risk in compliance with applicable laws
  • Applies knowledge of industry developments by collaborating and partnering with internal subject matter experts to develop new perspectives and advise on relevant legal matters
  • Defines processes and procedures for (commercial) contracts and identifies and recommends best practices, continuously developing and sharing knowledge with the team
  • Manages the preparation and negotiation of complex (commercial) contracts, including identifying legal and business risks and recommending solutions
  • Mentors other Law professionals, helping to improve the team’s abilities by acting as a technical resource
  • Influences and coordinates the standards around legal research to gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations and legal precedents
  • Makes recommendations to senior management on the advisability of pursuing or defending a lawsuit based on legal analysis and risk assessment
  • May coordinates due diligence to support the identification of compliance risks and/or improvements to compliance policies and processes. Monitors regulatory changes and implements necessary company processes to meet evolving requirements
