The Logistics Senior Specialist role is responsible for supporting transportation and logistics operations within the designated region. Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you will drive proactive communication and resolve transport execution escalations in support of Global Supply Chain operations. This role is pivotal in driving cost reductions, improving service levels, and increasing overall supply chain agility.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the logistics processes that enable on time delivery at optimal costs
Support and resolve escalations with inbound and outbound transportation, warehouse receipt requirements, import/export documentation, freight forwarder coordination, customs clearances and 3rd party logistics and governance
Coordinate and collaborate internally and externally in the facilitation of inbound shipments into the designated region
Identify and aid in the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
Lead lane-level reporting and reviews of transportation operations
Monitor key metrics such as transit time, utilization, and on-time delivery
Work cross-functionally with planning, warehousing, procurement, and customer service to align logistics strategies
Use TMS, BI platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Alteryx) for performance analysis, visibility and reporting
Support the implementation of new logistics tools and system enhancements (TMS, network design software, etc.)
Partner with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and carriers to improve performance and transparency
Support RFP processes, carrier evaluations, and continuous improvement plans
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 4 years of related experience
Transportation and Freight Operations Experience
Knowledgeable of international transportation requirements
Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and transportation management systems (TMS)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and mission-critical environment
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
5–10+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, with direct involvement in network design or freight optimization
Experience with international freight, customs, or Incoterms
Exposure to sustainability initiatives or green logistics programs
Experience with routing software or network modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft, Coupa, Oracle GTM, SAP TM, etc.)
Experience with managing cross-functional working teams and complex global logistics network initiatives
